A Bit About Us

The Poway Unified School District Foundation and the Palomar Council PTA collaborate each year to sponsor the PUSD Adopt-a-Family program (a 501-c organization).

Each year, the schools in our district nominate families that could use some extra help over the holidays.  These families fill out "wish lists" of what their children need (mainly clothes, shoes and school supplies) and something they'd like ... maybe just one fun gift.

A small number of volunteers work tirelessly to collect, sort, and deliver the

donations given in a respectful way.  This allows 100% of donations to go

to the families in need with no overhead costs.  

The Adopt-a-Family program has successfully brightened the holidays of so many families in our school district for over two decades.  

Thank you for adopting the attitude of serving and giving to keep the tradition alive!!!
